This paper addresses the challenge of optimizing energy efficiency in production shop scheduling problem, focusing specifically on the constraint of sequence-dependent setup times (FSSP SDST). This study is conducted in the context of promoting green industrial practices. The main objective is to minimize total energy consumption (TEC) in the manufacturing process. We introduce a mathematical model of this problem. To solve this problem, we use the Artificial Bee Colony algorithm (ABC). In addition, the Migrating Birds Optimization (MBO) algorithm will be presented. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithms will be subjected to rigorous evaluation through detailed tests on different instances. This methodical approach will enable us to carry out an in-depth and detailed comparative analysis, highlighting the relative strengths and weaknesses of the algorithms presented in this study.
