The growing industrial field, driven by digitalization and shifting market dynamics, requires that businesses adapt swiftly to meet changing demands and remain competitive. This adaptation necessitates the integration of digitalization and Industry 4.0 technologies across supply chain processes while maintaining robust product traceability. In this context, embracing product lifecycle management is currently a strategy needed for organizations seeking to achieve success in an era defined by digital transformation and increased consumer expectations. As a result, we present in this paper a comprehensive framework that integrates Product Lifecycle Management 4.0 (PLM 4.0), with a product-centric approach within the digital supply chain process. The proposed model effectively incorporates industry 4.0 technologies into every process of the supply chain while ensuring the tracking of both physical and informational product flows from inception to endof-life. As a result, the implementation of this framework improves productivity and financial outcomes, it additionally contributes to reducing environmental consequences, aligning with global sustainability goals. Furthermore, it offers valuable perspectives and actionable recommendations for professionals, scholars, and policymakers engaged in supply chain management and the ongoing process of digital transformation.
