Nanoparticle doped Quantum dots are novel materials which play an essential role on enhancing Solar cells efficiency. The focus of this work is on investigating the effect of adding CdS quantum dots doped with Ag nanoparticles layer into the solar cell structure. Then, comparison will be made between the performance of Ag doped CdS quantum dots doped and undoped CdSe quantum dots solar cells. The proposed solar cell structure comprises $\mathrm{F}\mathrm{T}\mathrm{O}/\mathrm{T}\mathrm{i}\mathrm{O}_{2}/\mathrm{A}\mathrm{g}$-doped $\mathrm{C}\mathrm{d}\mathrm{S}$ quantum dots/Iodide-Triiodide $(\mathrm{I}^{-}/\mathrm{I}^{-3})/$Platinum. The transmittance, reflectance and absorbance power are analytically studied using transverse matrix method and numerically calculated using Maple. The transmittance, reflectance and absorbance power is studied for different fractions of Ag nanoparticle and different CdSe quantum dots concentrations. Results show that the absorbance power increases as the fraction of Ag nanoparticles increases. In particular, there is a clear peak around 700 nm. However, absorbance hardly changes as quantum dots fraction changes. Thus, we recommend our study to be considered to improve the performance of solar cell.
