Efficiency Enhancement of Double Perovskite Solar Cell a Numerical Study Using Scaps 1D

Abstract

This work provides thorough theoretical analysis that is designed to identify the factors that hindered the efficiency of double perovskite solar cells. The objective of our investigation is to evaluate the influence of a variety of parameters on the efficiency of this design and to improve its performance. The optimized design surpasses the baseline, achieving a JSC of 20.57 mA/cm<sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</sup>, Voc of 1.11 V, and FF of 72.20%. This suggests that the strategic optimization of double perovskite solar cell attributes has the potential to achieve an efficiency of up to 16.63%. The proposed analysis enables the identification of the variables accountable for degradation and establishes a foundation for additional design optimization.
