The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of computer Animation instructional strategy on students’ academic achievement in electrical cable jointing in Government Science and Technical Colleges (GSTCs) in Adamawa State. The study was guided by three specific objectives, three research questions, and three null hypotheses. The study which was conducted in Adamawa State adopted a quasi-experimental research design specifically the pre-test, post-test, non-equivalent control group design. The population of the study comprised the entire 158 Electrical Installation and Maintenance Work trade (EIMWT) students in NTCII as of the 2025/ 2026 academic session in the three GSTCs. A sample size of 111 students from two GSTCs intact classes formed the sample for the study. Simple random sampling technique was applied to select the GSTCs, assigned to experimental or control group. The study used achievement test instrument tagged “Electrical Cable Jointing Achievement Test (ECJAT)”. ECJAT was subjected to both content and face validation. A reliability index of 0.85 was obtained for EIMWT using Kuder-Richardson Formula-21 (KR-21). Mean and Standard deviation were used to answer the research questions, while the hypotheses were tested using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) at a 0.05 level of significance. The study found that students taught Electrical Cable Jointing using the Computer Animation Instructional Strategy achieved higher mean scores than those taught using the Demonstration Teaching Method. The study recommended among others, that, curriculum planners and instructional designers should integrate e-learning methodologies into the teaching of Electrical Installation Maintenance Work (EIMW) to enhance students’ academic performance and ensure deeper understanding of concepts.
