EFFECT OF STRATEGIC SENSITIVITY ON MANUFACTURING FIRMS’ PERFORMANCE IN NIGERIA

Abstract

This study examined strategic sensitivity and organization performance in Cross River State. It specifically examined the effect of strategic insight and strategic acumen on organizational performance of manufacturing firms. The study analyzed primary data using multiple regression statistical tool. Findings from the study revealed that strategic insight has positive significant effect on organizational performance manufacturing firms in Cross River State Strategic acumen has positive significant effect on organizational performance of manufacturing firms in Cross River State. The study recommended among others, that management of manufacturing firms should increase strategic insight and its greater use by instilling confidence, which makes employees more sensitive to changes in the environment. It is also recommended that the management of manufacturing firms should focus on and seek out competent individuals to benefit from their experience and skills in increasing organisation innovation.
