This study investigated the effect of operational parameters on the adsorption of endocrine disruptive copper ions onto bamboo-supported iron nanoparticles. Five operational parameters understudied were the effects of pH (3 – 7), initial Cu(II) concentrations (20 – 100 mg/L), contact time (10 – 120 mins), temperature (298 - and adsorbent dosage). Percentage removal efficiency of 91.28% was achieved at pH 6 at optimum conditions. The study established that the effect of pH influenced the chemistry of adsorption, higher initial concentration enhanced the driving force providing equilibrium data for isotherm study, contact time depicts the rate and kinetics of the process, adsorbent dosage demonstrated the site of adsorption and temperature revealed the feasibility, spontaneity, and nature of the adsorption process. This study established the dependence and influence of both the quantity of adsorbed and removal efficiency on the operational parameters
