The purpose of the study was to examine effect of flipped classroom strategy on interest in Physics among senior secondary school students in Kogi State, Nigeria. The study adopted quasi experimental, non-randomized control group research design. The population of the study consisted of 11,091 SS2 students who were offering Physics in 254 public senior secondary schools for the 2024/2025 academic session in Kogi State. Three senior secondary schools were randomly selected in which two served as experimental and one control groups. The sample size for the study comprised 180 senior secondary school two (SS2) students. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire titled Physics Interest Scale (PIS), which was developed by the researchers after reviewing relevant literatures. The internal consistency of PIS through a pilot study was obtained using Cronbach Alpa formula and a reliability coefficient of 0.72 was obtained. Two research questions and two hypotheses guided the study. Data relating to the research questions were analyzed using mean and standard deviation, while the two hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance using analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). Findings from the study revealed that flipped classroom enhanced students’ interest in electricity based on gender. Based on the findings, it was recommended among others that flipped classroom strategy should be adopted by Physics teachers for teaching Physics in senior secondary schools in Kogi State.
