The study examines the effect of Construction Technology on Public Housing Sustainability: A Study of South-East Nigeria. The specific objectives were to investigate the extent of application of construction technology in public housing estate projects in the study area and examine the effect of construction technology deficiency on public housing estate projects in the study area. The study combined a cross-sectional descriptive survey and a correlational research design. A structured questionnaire designed with a five-point Likert scale was adopted for the study. The data collected were analyzed using the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation test. The result revealed that there is a significant relationship between the level of application of construction technology in design/construction’ and ‘quality’ in the Performance of Public Housing Estate Projects in South-East, and there is no significant relationship between ‘Effects of construction technology deficiency on the stakeholders and investors’ and ‘Budget/cost’ in the Performance of Public Housing Estate Projects in South-East, Nigeria. The study concluded that construction technology adoption is a critical lever for improving quality in public housing estate projects, but cost performance may not respond in the same direct way to stakeholder- and investor-related technology deficiencies. The study recommended that policymakers and implementing agencies in South-East Nigeria should prioritize construction technology integration, especially at the design and execution stages, as a strategic pathway to improving quality.
