Economic Model and Renewable Energy Strategy Transformation Moving From Linear to Circular Methods

Abstract

The shift from a linear to a circular economic model is crucial for transforming renewable energy strategies towards sustainability and efficiency. Traditional linear approaches, which involve “take, make, dispose,” are unsustainable due to finite resources and environmental concerns. Circular methods focus on recycling, reusing, and regenerating materials, optimizing resource utilization, minimizing waste, and reducing energy systems' environmental footprint. This paper explores the theoretical and practical applications of circular economic principles in renewable energy, presenting case studies and innovative technologies. The analysis shows that adopting circular economic methods can enhance economic resilience, reduce resource dependency, and provide significant environmental benefits, providing valuable insights for policymakers, industry leaders, and researchers.
