The valorization of agroindustrial waste has gained significant attention as a sustainable approach to tackle the environmental and economic issues related to waste management. This review investigates the diverse applications of agroindustrial residues in environmental remediation, biofuel production, and the generation of bio-based materials. Agroindustrial waste, comprising materials such as crop residues, fruit peels, and food processing by-products, has the potential to reduce pollution, conserve natural resources, and contribute to the circular bioeconomy. Through a range of valorization pathways such as adsorption, biosorption, and microbial fermentation, these residues serve as eco-friendly alternatives for air and water purification, energy production, and feedstock for biocomposites and nanomaterials. This work examines the latest advancements in using agro-waste to create high-value products, highlighting their role in fostering resource efficiency and ecological sustainability. In addition to environmental goals, agro-waste valorization contributes to economic growth by offering low-cost resources for sustainable industries. Integrating green chemistry practices with circular economy principles in waste valorization provides a promising pathway toward achieving zero-waste goals and advancing sustainable development.
