Dynamic performance assessment of parallel-connected converters under different control modes

2025Open accessSuez University

Abstract

The increasing integration of power converters in AC grids, driven by the expansion of large photovoltaic systems and high-power chargers, presents significant challenges to system stability, voltage regulation, and power quality. These challenges are compounded by complex interactions between grid-connected converters and the AC grid, leading to harmonic distortion and stability concerns. This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of these interactions under various converter control strategies, offering new insights into their impact on grid performance. By systematically examining the dynamic behavior of converters and their influence on grid parameters, this study bridges the gap between theoretical modeling and practical implementation. The findings contribute to the development of advanced control schemes that minimize adverse effects, thereby enhancing grid stability and power quality.
