Hypertension (HTN) is a significant global health crisis with rising prevalence, yet current management strategies often fall short. Traditional office-based care models often fall short in managing the condition effectively. Our literature review highlights the potential of digital health interventions, such as wearable devices and telemedicine, to enhance HTN care through continuous monitoring, early detection, and personalised treatment plans. While these technologies offer promise, their implementation requires careful consideration of ethical implications, including privacy, data quality, and fairness. To maximise their impact, addressing challenges related to accessibility, usability, and cost-effectiveness is crucial. Rigorous evaluation of the long-term benefits and sustainability of these digital solutions is essential for their successful integration into routine care.
