This study aims at proposing a low-cost IoT platform for real-time monitoring of power quality and energy consumption. It consists of a voltage sensor, a current sensor, an Elegoo Uno R3 device embedding an ATmega328P” microcontroller, a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, and a router. The results of the experiments undertaken show that the proposed IoT-based device can instantaneously measure the voltage, the current and the energy consumption with an error of 1 to 3%, and track the electric effects induced by the different loads present in the circuit power.
