This chapter presents a compact bandpass filter design operating at a resonance frequency of 2.4 GHz for wireless communication systems, such as RFID, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and WLAN. The proposed filter utilizes a U-shaped resonator made of metamaterials, printed on a RO6010 substrate with specific material properties. It exhibits high selectivity of 950 MHz bandwidth, low insertion loss of -12 dB, and a small size of (16 × 12) mm2, making it ideal for space-constrained applications. The filter design is straightforward and easy to fabricate, offering a promising solution for practical applications. The use of metamaterials for filter design is a popular research topic due to their unique properties. The proposed filter's encouraging results can pave the way for future research in this area.
