This research study presents a practical and efficient solution for forest fire detection. The system proposed in this study utilizes a GSM network to transmit signals to remote locations where the user is located. The proposed system comprises three solar-powered sensors and a GSM module connecting to the network to transmit detected fire alarms. The sensors generate an estimated signal level upon detecting a fire, which triggers the GSM module to send an alarm signal to the remote control center. The center processes the signal and takes appropriate actions. The use of solar energy as the power source for both the sensors and GSM module eliminates the need for conventional electrical energy. The system is expected to be both cost-effective and viable for detecting fires. This project aims to monitor forest conditions continuously, detect forest fires as early as possible and notify forest authorities to take immediate action in the event of a fire. The sensors collect data and transmit it to the central unit, and an alert is sent via GSM message. As the circuit simulation results show, the objectives were met at the end of this work. When the three sensors, temperature, flame and smoke sensors, detect any unusual environmental parameter according to their work specifications, a fire is detected, a buzzer is rung, and the temperature, flame and smoke levels are shown on the LCD. A status message should be sent to user via GSM when a fire is detected. The system is powered by solar energy stored in the battery.
