Dataset and Replication Files for "Social Capital's Mediating Role in the Adoption of Improved Seed: Evidence from a Recursive Bivariate Probit Model in Burkina Faso"

Abstract

This repository contains the anonymized dataset and replication files used for the article “Social Capital’s Mediating Role in the Adoption of Improved Seed: Evidence from a Recursive Bivariate Probit Model in Burkina Faso”. The dataset is based on a field survey conducted in 2018 by the Institute of Environment and Agricultural Research (INERA) in Burkina Faso. The survey covered 300 cereal producers in the Centre-Nord and Boucle du Mouhoun regions, focusing on millet and sorghum producers. The repository includes the anonymized Stata dataset, the Stata do-file used for data preparation and econometric estimation, and a description of the variables used in the analysis. These files allow users to reproduce the descriptive statistics, recursive bivariate probit estimations, and marginal effects reported in the article.
