We provide 3 files to accompany our article "Validating a low-cost alternative to body surface area estimation: implications for energy budgets and scaling relationships". R code used for the statistical analyses of the scaling of surface area of lizards. Data supporting the study including: metadataspreadsheet, repeatability of SVL, surface area data of lizard specimens, info on outliers, surface area data for live lizard validation, SVL_Mass allometry equations, comparison to isometric scaling, sensitivity analysis data. Term combinations used in Boolean searches of lizard scaling relationships of surface area and surface area scaling equations compiled from the literature (with associated references).
