ESBL-producing Enterobacteriaceae are a predominant cause of bacteremia in hematologic cancer patients at UCI. The most common ESBL-encoding gene identified in the ESBL-PE was <i>bla<sub>CTX-M</sub></i>. Resistance to imipenem and meropenem was low.
