The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of Moroccan Conditional Cash Transfers (CCTs) on child labor involving boys. Our analysis employed a dataset obtained from longitudinal survey data. The Instrumental Variables (IV) methodology was employed to gauge the impact of these transfers on child labor. In summary, the outcomes derived from the adopted model indicated a statistically significant impact of the CCT program on child labor, particularly among children aged between 10 and 15 years. Notably, the Tayssir initiative exhibited a noteworthy reduction in child labor at a significance level of 5 percent. In light of the insights from this econometric investigation, it is recommended to prioritize household-based targeting over geographical targeting to enhance the precision of this public program’s beneficiaries.
