Combined Season × Manure Rate Dataset for Growth and Yield Traits of Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) Grown Under Wet and Dry Season Conditions

Abstract

This dataset presents growth and yield/yield-component measurements from a field trial evaluating the response of tomato to five levels of manure application rate (0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 t/ha) under two contrasting cropping seasons (wet and dry), in a randomized complete block design with three replicates. Growth parameters (plant height, number of leaves, stem girth, and number of branches) were recorded at successive weeks after transplanting (WAT), and yield and yield-component parameters (number of flowers, number of fruits, fruit length, fruit diameter, and fruit yield) were recorded at fruiting and harvest. The workbook contains the original season-specific data as submitted, together with a derived combined dataset in which the wet- and dry-season records are stacked by replicate and season, and summarized by the main effects of season, manure rate, and their interaction, to support a combined analysis of variance across seasons.
