This study investigates climate change and integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a useful tool for teaching and learning among biology education students’ performance at Federal University Lokoja, Kogi State. A descriptive research design was used for the study. Three research questions were asked. The population of the study was made up of all the 400-level students in the faculty of education's department of science education, with 1000 students across programmes. A sample made up of 200 biology education students was selected using purposive sampling techniques. The instrument was developed by the researcher and titled the 'CGIAITLBESPFUL questionnaire', which was used to collect the data. The instrument was validated and screened by three experts, one from the Department of Measurement and Evaluation and two from the Department of Science Education. A pilot study was conducted using a university that did not form part of the main study. The reliability coefficient was established to be 0.81 using the Kuder-Richardson 21 (KR-21). Data was collected and analysed using simple percentages, mean and standard deviation. Among the findings was that climate change and artificial intelligence have a high impact on students' academic performance generally. It is recommended that priority be given to the provision of basic technological infrastructure and to incorporating AI tools that promote collaborative and active learning at the Federal University, Lokoja, and other universities at large. AI awareness among students indicates readiness to embrace AI at all levels of education, especially in Nigeria.
