book chapter
The quest for cleaner energy and a better environment has become a critical global concern due to the increasing challenges posed by climate change and environmental degradation. This study examines the many benefits and challenges associated with switching to greener energy sources and establishing a sustainable green environment. Additionally, technology has had a wide range of effects on society and its surroundings and has aided in the growth of more developed economies, such as the global economy of today. Numerous technologies that have altered the lifestyle of people in society and brought comfort have been made possible by science. Examples of these technologies include those found in aircraft, cars, biotechnology, computers, telecommunication, Internet, renewable energy, atomic and nuclear, nanotechnology, and space exploration. Concerns over the sustainability of the environment are necessary to maintain the well-being of individuals in society. The goal of this study is to develop sustainable technologies that can be transformed into green technologies (GTs) to preserve the environment for coming generations and prevent environmental degradation. Also covered in the study are the opportunities and difficulties associated with GT in the 21st century for the following areas: education, food and processing, renewable energy, buildings, agriculture, renewable energy, buildings, agriculture, and space exploration.
