dataset · University of Pretoria
The dataset contains all figures and tables associated with the MSc dissertation “Biofilm formation and structure in the maize fungal pathogen Exserohilum turcicum in South Africa.” The figures and tables visually summarise experimental findings on biofilm development, structure, and resistance. Included are graphical representations of biofilm formation under varying environmental conditions (pH and temperature), microscopy images (SEM, TEM, CLSM) illustrating biofilm architecture, and visual comparisons between different E. turcicum strains. Tables provide quantitative data on growth conditions, biomass accumulation, extracellular matrix composition, and statistical analyses of antifungal (difenoconazole) responses in both developing and mature biofilms. Together, the figures and tables complement the main text by highlighting structural differences, antifungal effects, and environmental influences on biofilm behaviour in E. turcicum.
