Assessing the Impact of Smart Meteorological Systems on Climate Monitoring and Disaster Preparedness in Ghana

Abstract

Abstract: This project explores how smart meteorological technologies such as automated weather stations, AI-powered forecasting systems, and sensor-based climate monitoring are influencing Ghana’s capacity for accurate climate observation and disaster management. It assesses the role of these systems in improving forecasting precision, agricultural planning, and early warning strategies. Through mixed-method data collection and comparative analysis, the project examines both the benefits and limitations of integrating smart technologies into Ghana’s meteorological infrastructure. Findings aim to offer evidence-based recommendations for national policy frameworks and investment priorities in sustainable climate technology.
