Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly recognised as a transformative driver in advancing Circular Economy (CE) sustainability. By leveraging data-driven decision-making, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation, Artificial Intelligence can optimise resource efficiency, extend product lifecycles, and support closed-loop production systems. Applications range from enhancing waste management through smart sorting technologies to enabling precision manufacturing that reduces material waste. Artificial Intelligence facilitates advanced supply chain transparency, allowing firms to monitor environmental footprints and promote sustainable consumption patterns. However, while its potential is significant, the integration of Artificial Intelligence into Circular Economy practices also raises challenges, including data privacy concerns, high implementation costs, and the ethical implications of automated decision-making. This paper argues that the synergy between Artificial Intelligence and Circular Economy not only represents a technological advancement but also reflects a paradigm shift toward sustainable, innovation-driven economies. By aligning digital intelligence with ecological responsibility, Artificial Intelligence emerges as a powerful enabler of systemic change, bridging the gap between technological progress and sustainable development goals.
