API-enabled integration of Pylinac within QATrack+ for automated EPID-based QA on Elekta linear accelerators: a technical note

Abstract

Background: EPID quality assurance (QA) workflows remain largely manual and are difficult to standardize across treatment machines. This limits efficiency, increases operator dependency, and complicates consistent reporting and data sharing between systems. Materials and methods: We integrated Pylinac image analysis into QATrack+ and adopted an API-oriented publication model to enable structured export and interoperability. Results: EPID images from an Elekta Versa HD (6–18 MV) were analyzed for field size, flatness, symmetry, and MLC Picket Fence metrics, showing close agreement. Conclusions: This workflow supports standardized, automated, and interoperable EPID QA reporting.
