This study describes a dual-band patch antenna that operates at 28 and 38 giga-hertz, which is suitable for use in 5G networks. The antenna features circular and rectangular slotted structures that are used to modify its radiation pattern and impedance matching characteristics. The proposed antenna is designed on a Roger 5058 substrate with a thickness of 0.38 mm, a relative permittivity of 2.2, and a low loss tangent of 0.0009. The slotted structures create additional resonances that operate at the desired frequencies, increasing the antenna's bandwidth and enabling it to operate at two frequencies simultaneously, 28/38 GHz. While integrating this type of antenna into a mobile phone or other electronic devices may present challenges due to its size and potential interference from other components, these issues can be addressed through advanced simulation and optimization tools. For instance, a smaller antenna with a higher gain may be used, or shielding can be incorporated to reduce interference.
