AI-DRIVEN STRATEGIES FOR ENHANCING ROBUSTNESS AND ACCURACY IN TERTIARY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION IN SOUTH-SOUTH NIGERIA

Abstract

This study examined AI-driven strategies for enhancing robustness and accuracy in tertiary school administration in South-South Nigeria. The study specifically investigated the effect of AI-driven predictive analytics systems on the accuracy of student records and administrative decision-making, and the influence of AI-powered automation and intelligent data management systems on the robustness and efficiency of administrative processes in tertiary institutions. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The population of the study comprised 1,248 administrative and ICT personnel drawn from six selected tertiary institutions across the six states of South-South Nigeria. Using the Taro Yamane formula, a sample size of 303 respondents was determined, while 287 valid questionnaires were returned and used for the analysis. A structured questionnaire titled “AI-Driven Administrative Strategies and Institutional Accuracy Questionnaire (AIASIAQ)” was used for data collection. The instrument was validated by experts in educational management and measurement and evaluation, while reliability was established using Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient of 0.86, indicating high reliability. Data were collected through direct questionnaire administration with the assistance of trained research assistants. Descriptive statistics such as frequency counts, percentages, mean, and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions, while simple linear regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance with the aid of SPSS. The findings revealed that AI-driven predictive analytics systems significantly improve the accuracy of student records and administrative decision-making, while AI-powered automation and intelligent data management systems significantly enhance the robustness and efficiency of administrative processes in tertiary institutions. The study concluded that the adoption of AI-driven administrative technologies significantly strengthens institutional performance, operational efficiency, and data reliability in tertiary school administration in South-South Nigeria.
