Mathematics education traditionally relies on static, teacher-led, rote instructional methods that do not fully address diverse student needs or the evolving technological advances. In a digitized world, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers transformative potential. Yet, various barriers—such as technical, pedagogical, and social ones—limit its use. This qualitative conceptual study examines innovative methods for mathematics education, analyzing AI's capacity to enrich students' learning. A thematic analysis of literature identifies challenges related to infrastructure, teacher readiness, digital literacy, and ethics. Findings reveal that AI enables personalized learning, adaptive assessment, and critical thinking. However, successful integration requires strategic adoption, teacher training, and ethical frameworks. This study advocates for professional development programs, collaborative AI-supported environments, and empirical research to assess impact. These steps are crucial for enhancing mathematics education and preparing students for technology-rich future.
