Abstract The discovery of MXenes has yielded several innovative approaches to manufacturing conductive materials for improved performance in several sectors. Among the various types of MXenes, titanium carbide MXene (Ti 3 C 2 T X ) is widely applied in advanced material design due to its desirable characteristics. Integrating Ti 3 C 2 T X MXenes with textiles promises to create a new generation of textile materials with enhanced properties for application in various devices, including wearable biomedical sensors. It has been observed that the application of Ti 3 C 2 T X MXenes with textiles as a base material in the health sector has not received significant attention, hence, there is a need for a critical review to allow for greater insights into the prospects of using this 2D material in the textile industry toward smart healthcare delivery. This review has been conducted to fill this gap by delving into the application of MXenes in textile manufacturing toward biomedical sensor design. Findings show that Ti 3 C 2 T X MXenes are promising materials in advancing wearable textile electronics, especially for biomedical sensor design. Future studies to explore the integration of MXenes‐based biosensors into the Internet of Things, and methodologies that are harmless to the environment and human health, are recommended to ensure seamless healthcare delivery with sensors and sustainable smart textile manufacturing.
