The Controller Area Network (CAN) bus, a critical communication protocol in automotive and industrial systems, is inherently vulnerable to a variety of attacks due to its open and broadcast nature. This paper examines the security challenges posed by CAN bus, highlighting vulnerabilities such as eavesdropping, message injection, denial of service (DoS), replay attacks, and bus-off attacks. To solve these problems, we provide a complete security solution implemented within the AUTOSAR (Automotive Open System Architecture) Standard. Our solution integrates powerful message authentication, encryption, and intrusion detection mechanisms to improve the security of CAN Bus communications. By leveraging the standardized architecture and components provided by AUTOSAR, our approach ensures compatibility, scalability, and ease of integration into existing automotive systems. The proposed solution aims to significantly reduce the identified vulnerabilities, thereby improving the safety and reliability of vehicles and industrial machines that depend on the CAN Bus network.
