This research introduces a new Multilevel Inverter (MLI) setup that guarantees a 15-step output voltage waveform for renewable energy applications. This structure synthesizes dual DC voltage sources, a pair of switched capacitors, and thirteen power switches. A larger number of voltage steps in the output waveform guarantees a more realistic waveform with less distortion. Moreover, high-efficiency operation can be attained since fewer components result in lower power losses. By using two capacitors to function as virtual DC sources, the suggested topology lowers the overall cost of the system and improves system reliability in accordance. Thanks to the switch capacitors employed in the suggested design, the output voltage has a boost stage. The capacitors are charged during the level-generating process, and the balancing procedure happens independently. The investigated setup can be cascaded multiple times to achieve the required output power range. The MATLAB/SIMULINK modeling tool is used to verify the suggested performance of the MLI configuration.
