Distributed Generation (DG) integration has many environmental and economic benefits, like reduced reliance on fossil fuels, sustainable electricity generation, and improved energy efficiency. However, incorporating DG into the grid presents technical challenges affecting power quality. These challenges include voltage sag, swell, flicker, and harmonic distortion. This paper aims to clarify the impact of Distributed Generation on power quality in power distribution systems and microgrids. It explains how the penetration level of DG units can influence voltage profiles and power. Also, deals with various mitigation strategies to address these power quality concerns. After surveying the recommendation is that how to obtain the optimum location, penetration and technology also for DG to keep the stability of power system and power quality measurements within acceptance limits based on artificial intelligent.
