Abstract

Cloud computing has become a fundamental technology across industries, providing scalable, cost-effective solutions to manage increasingly complex workloads. The Apache Software Foundation has played a pivotal role in cloud development by offering a variety of open-source projects that address different cloud computing needs. This paper presents a comparative analysis of 15 major Apache cloud projects, focusing on their features, categories, architectures, and suitability for data storage. The projects covered include Apache Airavata, Brooklyn, Camel, CloudStack, CouchDB, EventMesh, Helix, Ignite, Jclouds, Libcloud, Mesos, Solr Operator, Traffic Control, VCL, and YuniKorn.
