A challenge that many parents, guardians and caregivers face navigating parenthood in the digital era is the implement of online safety for their children. This research highlights the implementation of AI chatbots which has a promising outcome in the world of Child Online Protection. Humans’ fondness for conversations has allowed many users to ease into the utilization of AI chatbots for educational purposes. This research explored collaborative (co) design process with users. Thus, the AI chatbot named Gogo COPPAA was developed through collaborative work. By gathering data on the issues that parents face online has generated ideas for designing an application and chatbot that is of satisfactory use for its user. Further directions of the AI chatbot would be to have it tested on further platforms and have it widely accessible for parents, guardians and caregivers.
