Implementing the EHMD feeding scheme in VLBWs that has significant clinical benefits has resulted in substantial budget savings from the payer's perspective in the UAE owing to fewer comorbidities associated with premature birth and shorter hospital stays. It is highly recommended for the Emirati health care settings to evaluate the real-world neonatal complication rates.
