review
Due to the ongoing search for superior alternative roofing materials, motivated by sustainability and long-term economic benefits, metal roofing has emerged as a leading roofing material in the construction sector during the past decade or so. The use of inappropriate roofing materials for a particular environment to which the roof is exposed has been linked to premature structural roof collapses in the building industry. The galvanization of roofing sheets has been a valued solution to the challenges faced by the deterioration of roofing sheets. This research is a review of the various effects of rain-water on some selected roofing sheet types. An overview of roofing types, rain-water types and a physic-chemical analysis of rain-water has also been carried out.
