6G MIMO Antenna with THz Monopole Resonators Enabling Broadband Connectivity

Abstract

This work introduces a four-element MIMO antenna array tailored for terahertz (THz) and sixth-generation (6G) wireless applications. The array employs a simple and compact configuration, consisting of low-profile G-shaped monopole radiators excited through microstrip feed lines, arranged on opposite sides of a <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$110 \times 110 \mu \mathrm{m}^{2}$</tex> substrate. The proposed design achieves wideband performance, covering the 2.5-4.1 THz frequency range. Evaluation of the array indicates favorable results across essential performance indicators, including S-parameters, radiation characteristics, and gain/efficiency, highlighting its suitability for integration into future wireless communication systems.
